Co-founder/CEO, iOS developer - 2014

SalonApp is a platform targeting both women interested in beauty services and businesses in the beauty industry in Romania, by helping connect clients to beauty salons. It comprises iOS and Android mobile apps, a web application, landing site and an admin panel for salons. User experience, overall design approach, iOS development, release strategy, platform strategic PR, online advertising and overall team coordination are my responsibilities in keeping the platform successful. It is currently ranked in top 30 in the Romanian App Store (Free Lifestyle). The iOS app was developed by myself start-to-end, including Facebook login, API connections etc.

iOS Developer - in progress

Working on this extensive application implies integrally developing by myself a different version of the app in a new Xcode project, by using the existing API. PlayTheNext is an app developed mainly for bars and shops in France which run the Keo Interactive Player at their locations. It allows app users to listen to the music in their selected venue in real-time and select the upcoming track. The application is also strongly socially oriented and it includes notifications, along with a set of new features. Other responsibilities include: direct communication with the client, contributing to building user experience, managing communication between the client and the UI/UX designer etc.

iOS Developer - ongoing

I was the only iOS developer working in a team composed of one backend developer, two UI/UX developers and one project manager, using Agile, for 3 months, to build an app that has the main functionality of a party finder and club assessor. The app will be in the App Store soon. Work included daily stand-ups, technically responding to feedback, implementing design patterns, API connections etc.

This is an image snapchat app I developed in a team of 3 iOS developers. My latest work was related to the iOS 7 update for the app, which also changed the entire flow. I particularly value this experience for the opportunity of managing communication between the team and the client on several occasions.

I worked on this app in a team of 4 iOS Developers in order to release a major update in the US App Store. Bug fixing, social media sharing, trivia screens implementation were some of my tasks. The app connects drivers to passengers to facilitate a taxi-like service, where the passenger can opt to be driven to a place in his own car or in the driver’s car. Another option is sharing a ride with others. Direct communication with the client was also one of the responsibilities.

This is a personal project which came to life by joining ideas with a London-based psychologist and therapist. It is an iOS app targeting especially teenagers in helping them cope with negative feelings, by selecting their experienced mood and then seeing predefined coping suggestions, with the possibility of including their own, personalised suggestions.

NextNomads is an app which helps freelancers find the best co-working place upon their location. My contribution to this application consisted of an integral UI elements update, starting from the existing .xib based project.

This was my first iOS broader project, in which I worked in a team of two interns and dove deeper into Objective-C, along with Git usage. The project idea and user experience were based on my contribution only, along with the Parse API implementation. The app featuring Facebook login allows users to find which kind of party animal they are based on their personality, and attend various events listed on Facebook as one of the party animals, while seeing event statistics with regards to the party animals attending each event. This app needs a final UI update before its release to the App Store.

I was the sole iOS developer responsable for bringing this product to life. JoIntheCity allows users to benefit from laundry services "whenever & wherever in Paris"  - laundry pick-up and delivery from a specialized business in Paris. The app allows users to see the price list, package offers, fill their cart with the wanted products, and checkout their orders, see order history, update orders, and others.

This is also a personal project consisting of a basic photo editing app which is aimed at providing the user with a personalised wallpaper for their phone or for other purposes. The app permits the selection of the wanted photo, fixation of level of blur applied, selection of filter color, adding a quote etc. Working on this app was particularly interesting due to the image processing tasks involved.

SprintTimer is a health/wellbeing app assisting users in their high-intensity sprinting workouts, based on the latest research showing the effectiveness of sprinting workouts in improving health and fitness levels . It serves as a repeated timer initially set to accommodate sprints of 8 seconds, followed by 12 seconds long relaxation times, for a number of repetitions equal to 60. The app also supports pause and resume workout actions. Parameters such as sprint interval, relaxation interval and number of repetitions can be customised from within the app, to better suit your own exercise needs. This small project is a personal initiative.
